St-Patricks Blizzard

I’ve only lived in the Maritimes for a little over 4 years now, but if there’s something I’ve learned, it’s that NEVER trust signs of spring until AFTER St Pattys day. And every year so far it seems there is always a storm that comes on, or very closely to, St Patricks day as well.

As I type these words, we are in day 2 of whipping winds, blowing snow and general miserableness. I have not heard a snowplow go by since around 7 pm last night and by the looks of things, my hearing is correct! It’s looking and sounding like a snow day for this girl!

Mother nature tucked the cars in for the night XP

As much as the weather is, well.. Icky! at the moment, I’m not overly bothered by it! Spring will be here soon, the power stayed on, my seedlings are warm and will hopefully sprout soon, snow days are perfect for crafts AND what better way to get a full body workout than to get out and shovel a long driveway full of 3+ feet of snow? 😛

What do you like to do on snow days?
